We’ve used Ipsos iris to compare the three biggest music streaming apps: Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.

Apple Music has the biggest audience, reaching 25.4 million people in May – over half of all internet users (51%). Spotify had 21.0 million users (42%) while Amazon had 5.4 million (10%).

Interestingly, all three have different age profiles. For Apple, the age of their users is evenly distributed: roughly a third of users are 15-34, a third are 35-54 and a third are 55+. Spotify skews much younger with almost half its audience (49%) aged under 35.
