β˜€οΈ The sun is setting on another summer, and with it another UK festival season.

Using Ipsos iris data, we delved into the online visitors for festival websites, to help understand who made up some of the biggest music crowds.

πŸ† Glastonbury is the best-attended festival in the UK, so it’s no surprise to see this mirrored online. The line up offers something for everyone – bringing an even balance of ages and genders that visit online, as well as the largest proportion of high income visitors.

🎧 Wireless Festival tells a different story, with the most distinct audience. Its online visitors average much younger (67% under 35) and have the biggest gender bias, with women making up almost two thirds of visitors.

⏬ Download Festival has a slightly more male audience online, who are more likely to be middle aged.

🏝️ The Isle of Wight Festival also attracts a more seasoned audience – 34% aged 55 or over.

🌳BST Hyde Park runs across June and July – and its audience shifts significantly from one month to the next. In June, Olivia Rodrigo helped attract younger visitors to its site (49% aged 15-34). By July , the likes of Neil Young and Stevie Wonder saw this switch (42% over 55s).
