OpenAI’s ChatGPT recently set an unprecedented record with 1 in 5 UK internet users using the platform.

👨👨 More users of OpenAI are men (5.4m monthly users), but women are close behind (4.1m).
👩However, female visitors to OpenAI grew by 145% over 2024, higher than males (+98%).
🧒The largest number of OpenAI users are aged 15-24 (3.2m).
🏙️The city with the greatest reach in the UK for OpenAI is London, where 30% of Londoners accessed the website or app in February.
🧒🏙️57% of all Londoners aged 15-24s used OpenAI in February.
