UKOM endorsed data from Ipsos iris shows that of the top 100 most popular apps in the UK, Duolingo sees the greatest share of its engagement between 8pm and midnight.
One third (33%) of time spent on the language-learning app takes place during this period of ‘late peak & late evening’, which is significantly higher than the share for the average app (22%).
Users aged 18-34 spend the biggest proportion of their time on Duolingo’s app between 8pm and midnight (42%), compared to 37% for 35-54 year olds and 23% for over 55s.
