Media Report

The Media report allows you to build out granular audiences and understand their behaviour through our full range of metrics. This can be extremely useful in showing additional reach across properties. You can see your audience grouped by month, week, day, and daypart.

Media Plus Report

The Media Plus report allows you to build out granular audiences and understand their behaviour through our full range of metrics. This can be extremely useful in showing additional reach across properties. You can see your audience grouped by month, week, day, and daypart. The Media Plus report is different from the Media report in that it is a flat reporting structure. The results are static and not based on your selection and category filters.

Category Report

The Category report allows you to analyse category performance from tier 1, 2 and 3 during the selected month such as News, Sport, Fashion, Style & Beauty categories. Discover the total market size and pinpoint opportunities for brands operating within each category. Explore the most prominent and engaging categories and understand how specific brands measure up against the top-level category. Gain invaluable insights into market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.

Profile Report (Category)

The Profile report for categories allows you to deep dive into different category audiences and compare these against the average internet user or another category. You can use this profile to benchmark against individual media.

Profile Report (Media)

The Profile report for media allows you to deep dive into different media audiences and compare it against the average internet user or another media audience.

Ranking Report

The Ranking report enables you to rank up to 2500 organisations, brands, websites and apps. This report allows you to see what brands are most popular within specific categories and target audience groups. You can see where any organisation, brand group, website, or app is placed amongst their wider competitive set.

Cross-Visitation Report

The Cross-Visitation report allows you to analyse various media entities, incorporating both vertical and horizontal analyses. This report equips you with the ability to examine duplicated audiences based on selected targets as well as the audience overlap across different media entities. This report also includes a V index, which provides insight into the probability of finding an audience from one media entity on another compared to the average internet user. This report is useful for discovering brand synergy, validating potential partnership opportunities, and identifying which other digital properties audiences are interacting with.

Percentage Change Report (Category)

The Percentage Change report for categories allows you to analyse the differences and changes between two different time periods. such as year-on-year or month-on-month changes to the categories.

The Percentage Change report for media allows you to analyse the differences and changes between two different time periods. such as year-on-year or month-on-month changes to media.

Dayparts Report (Category)

Dayparts reports allow you to see the breakdown of the selected category such Sport or Travel by four different times of the day: nighttime and breakfast (00:00-08:59) ; morning and afternoon (09:00-17:29); early peak (17:30-19:59); and late peak & late night (20:00-23:59). This report helps you to explore reach and engagement with categories during different times of the day and can help identify when these categories have the most engagement with audiences.

Dayparts Report (Media)

Dayparts reports allow you to see the breakdown of the selected media such as a website or app by four different times of the day: nighttime and breakfast (00:00-08:59) ; morning and afternoon (09:00-17:29); early peak (17:30-19:59); and late peak & late night (20:00-23:59). This report helps you to explore reach and engagement with media during different times of the day and can help identify when these media have the most engagement with audiences. This can look at what time of day parents spend the most time consuming content on a website.

The Trend Analysis report for categories allows you to measure category performance over time. Identify peaks in engagement and opportunites in the market.

The Trend Analysis report for media allows you to measure media performance over time. Identify peaks in engagement across specific media.

Selecting Dayparts

Selecting Dayparts within the Media or Category reports allows you to see the selected media/category at four different times of the day: nighttime and breakfast (00:00-08:59) ; morning and afternoon (09:00-17:29); early peak (17:30-19:59); and late peak & late night (20:00-23:59). These filters can be combined if you wish to see a longer period of time across the day.

Selecting Media

In the Media tab, you can generate reports for various levels like Organisation, Brand Group, App/Website, Section Group/Section, Distributed Content, and Content Owner for YouTube data. Clicking the book symbol provides access to the Ipsos iris Index for additional information on entity classification.

Selecting Metrics

In the Metrics selection page, you can select from a range of metrics available in specific reports. You have the option to sort metrics, or to search for metrics they are interested in. Hovering over each metric gives a brief description of the metric and the formula used to calculate it.

Selecting Targets

Choose from options like Standard, All, Advanced targets, and Enhanced Audiences in the Targets section. Specify measurement devices and refine your targeting with AND/OR operators. Save your targets under “My Targets”.

The Daily Dashboard

The Daily Dashboard allows you to analyse the performance of media entities daily (every 36 hrs). This data can be used before the monthly data set is available and gives a snapshot view of how specific media entites are performing.

Creating a Custom Daily Dashboard

Create a custom Daily Dashboard with pre-set media entities. This feature enables effortless access to the daily dashboard with your preferred media pre-selected each time you visit the dashboard

The Monthly Dashboard

The Monthly Dashboard helps you to see four months of data at once. This dashboard gives you the option to look at overall categories or a specific media entity with a combition of targets to understand how they trend on a monthly basis.

Monthly Dashboard’s Media Details

Selecting a media entity from the Monthly Dashboard directs you to a page with more details, which gives in-depth information on the selected media entity. The most recent month’s data is presented by default, offering key metrics and demographics. You should be able to compare two months of data, and for websites traffic is split into ‘Publisher Owned’ and ‘Distributed Content’. Clicking on certain metrics provides a further breakdown by demographics.

Creating a Custom Monthly Dashboard

Create a custom Monthly Dashboard with pre-set media entities. This feature enables effortless access to the monthly dashboard with your preferred media pre-selected each time you visit the dashboard

Saving Reports

Saving a report stores the report within the Ipsos iris dashboard and enables you to revisit at a later date.

Scheduling Saved Reports

Scheduling a saved report removes the need to re-run the report each time monthly data is loaded. Instead, the system will run the report for you, either within the existing report, or as a copy if this option is ticked.

Sharing Saved Reports

When a report has been saved in the Ipsos iris dashboard, you can share with this anyone within your organisation who has an Ipsos iris account. They will receive the report in a read only format; the “duplicate” option in the drop down enables them to make an editable copy.

Sharing Custom Targets

The ‘My Targets’ tab allows you to save custom audiences in the target selection step. Once you have saved an audience, you can pull it into any report in the system. Please note custom audiences cannot be saved in the profiling report.

The Ipsos iris Index

The Ipsos iris Index allows you to understand reporting strucutures and break down entities into organisation, brand, website and app level reporting. This feature also gives access to entity categorisation.
